 PROOFREADING AND CORRECTION CYCLE (COPYEDITING)  

      Proofreading (copyediting) is the application of a red pencil to ensure 
      that a manuscript is grammatically correct and perfectly spelled and
      punctuated. Proof-reading, followed by corrections by the book designer,
      is repeated at least twice and up to six times
      (more for technical material if necessary and approved by author).
